Hello,

My family attends New Bridge Community Church. In response to an insert in our programs, my daugther called Cody Simmons to get a list of specific needs for the "A Home for Christmas" event on Christmas Day.

We have purchased several childrens' coats, hats gloves,; boy's & men's socks and hats, in addition to several other items that Cody recommended or said you could use.

I would like to bring the items to you and see if there is any other way we can help. New Bridge serves at First Baptist on the 4th Sunday of the month and we are honored to serve dinner on Christmas Day this year.

Sincerely,

Peggy Karr

Makes you stop and think! In the get get get world in which we live so much of our thinking is geared towards the reward (righteousness) and little thought is given to the process which is able to accom-plish that mission.
To say that "Jesus Saves!" is sometimes lost in the wash of "my self worth is because of my own doing." Self esteem becomes attached to the self-worth statement; making a mockery of our Faith in the truth as it is in Christ Jesus.
The whole truth - The truth of the Good News Gospel must be understood and allowed to percolate through the life as an overflowing fountain of self acceptance that recognizes our total summation of who we are is wrapped up in the fact that we were created, bought and redeemed by the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Thank you GOD!

I was unaware that this had happened to you folks until I had seen it through a posting by a friend on Facebook today.

I grew up in Olympia (OHS '82), and now live in Vancouver, WA. I was raised Catholic (Sacred Heart, Lacey) and now attend a community church in Vancouver...House of Providence (a church plant from Imago Dei, Portland). I re-proclaimed my faith 8 years ago through Baptism at Rooster Rock State Park in the Columbia River Gorge. It would have been an extra special event if you were able to hold it at Heritage Park. It saddens me greatly to realize how far Olympia and the state of Washington has fallen.

Next time in Olympia visiting my father, I'll drop by to attend your service.

My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Hi Paul:
Don't know if you remember me from Crossroads church.
I am watching this story and praying for you and your whole congregation, that through all of this God will be glorified, and a victory won for Jesus.
 God bless you all!
