Our Story
We know that it can be a challenge to thrive in the day to day grind of life. The demands of work. The dreary Northwest gray. Juggling relationships, kids, a busy schedule, and the weight of life’s many pressures can easily be overwhelming. After a while, you get to the point where you realize that you just can’t make it on your own. For the past 18 years, Reality Church has been a community of people offering help and hope to hundreds of people all across Thurston County. No matter where you are on the journey, we invite you to join us.

We are a church where everyone pursues the abundant life of Jesus through sustainable spiritual growth in all areas of life: as employees, citizens, parents, children and neighbors. The rooted, fruitful, and flourishing life is available for all, not at the expense of those who serve. In our church, we care about your soul and not just your role.
Biblical Justice
We are a church that speaks up and takes action on behalf of the oppressed, the poor and the needy (Proverbs 31:1-9). Because of God’s call to justice and righteousness, we take action on behalf of the vulnerable (the widow, the orphan, the stranger, the poor). The gospel leads us to join with God where He is at work giving humanity what they are due as His creation.
Generous Hospitality
It is our privilege as a church to extend the warm welcome of the Father to the stranger around us, those near and far. We model God’s pursuit of us by initiating relationship through systematic and intentional care without fostering insider/outsider language. Hospitality in this form provides care for those inside the family of faith and those who are far off without making people a target or a project. The warm welcome of the Father draws all to His heart of love.
Committed community
Because we worship a God who, in His very essence, is community (Father/Son/Holy Spirit), we believe that at the center of the universe is a community of love. Following Jesus’ example, the “with God” life must be done in the company of others. We are a church that operates with a sense of biblical family where people can belong before they believe and get to enjoy the journey of faith together with others.
Kingdom imagination
We are a church that exists for the greater kingdom, something bigger than ourselves. We pursue community over hyper-individualism, engagement over consumerism and partnership over competition with other churches. Our most basic reference point is not “me” or “Reality Church” or “The Church” but... the Kingdom of God.
